How We Engineer and Manufacture Your Custom Gasketted PHE

Design

  • Process Requirements Analysis:
    We custom-simulate and analyze your heat transfer capacity, exact fluid flow rates, pressure constraints, and approach temperatures to establish the foundation of your tailored system.
  • Plate Configuration Mapping:
    We select specialized plate patterns (such as advanced chevron or herringbone matrices) and dimensions against the chemical realities of your media to balance thermal conduction and structural resilience

  • Active Surface Area Optimization:
    Utilizing advanced thermodynamic modeling software, our engineers precisely calculate the required heat transfer area, optimizing the logarithmic mean temperature difference (LMTD) against the required heat load.
  • Flow Arrangement Engineering: We strategically configure single or multi-pass networks to optimize velocity profiles, maximize thermal recovery, and meet strict pressure drop tolerances specified by your plant.
  • Mechanical Strength Simulation:
    We engineer robust compression frames, headers, and tightening rods according to international codes (such as ASME) to safely withstand heavy cyclic pressure loads and extreme temperatures.  

Manufacture

  • High-Tonnage Plate Pressing:
    Plates are precision-stamped from premium metal sheets using automated heavy-tonnage presses to form perfect corrugations with homogeneous thickness, ensuring maximum fatigue resistance.
  • Heavy-Duty Frame Fabrication:
    The compression frame and headers are fabricated from robust structural steel or stainless steel through rigorous machining and certified welding, ensuring perfectly aligned clamping metrics.
  • Precision Gasket Integration:
    High-performance elastomeric gaskets (Nitrile, EPDM, Viton) are mechanically seated into specially engineered plate grooves, ensuring a reliable, long-lasting, pressure-tight seal.
  • Controlled Tension Assembly:
    The plate matrix is meticulously aligned within the guide frame, followed by uniform tightening of the high-strength compression bolts to reach the exact design dimensions.
  • Rigorous Performance Testing:
    Every custom unit undergoes exhaustive quality inspections before delivery, including full hydrostatic pressure testing, leak detection, and compliance validation with international third-party standards.
