Recently, Shanghai Plate Heat Exchanger successfully completed the design, manufacturing, and delivery of a batch of air preheaters downstream of incinerators for a large domestic lithium iron phosphate project, adding another benchmark application case for the new energy materials industry.
The hot-side medium of this batch of heat exchangers is high-temperature exhaust gas from incinerators. In response to the operating conditions of high temperature and complex composition of lithium-battery sintering exhaust gas, the project adopted a fully welded plate structure, which combines resistance to thermal stress and corrosion while effectively reducing the risk of dust blockage and ensuring long-term continuous operation of the production line. By efficiently recovering waste heat from incineration tail gas, the system achieves recycled reuse of thermal energy. This not only helps the production line reduce costs and carbon emissions, but also significantly lowers the incineration exhaust temperature, protects downstream treatment equipment, and achieves the dual goals of tail gas treatment and energy saving with efficiency improvement.

Shanghai Plate Heat Exchanger’s air preheater series offers flat-plate and corrugated-plate channel designs. The channels have no dead zones and are not prone to ash accumulation. The modular design flexibly adapts to the spatial layout and process requirements of large projects. The proprietary air film technology can effectively address dew point corrosion and ensure long-term stable operation of the equipment.

Leveraging its deep accumulation in thermal heat transfer technology, Shanghai Plate Heat Exchanger will continue to deepen its presence in the new energy materials industry. With customized heat exchange equipment, it will provide reliable waste heat recovery solutions for projects in fields such as lithium batteries and chemicals, helping the new energy industry achieve green and high-quality development.
