SHPHE's early-2026 project awards include offshore gas processing, chemical materials, sugar production and overseas alumina utilities. The announced scope illustrates how each heat exchanger's process role guides product selection and how contract milestones differ from completed operating references.
| Month | Project | Announced heat-transfer scope |
|---|---|---|
| January | Sugar-mill project in Colombia | Wide-gap welded plate heat exchangers |
| February | Alumina project in Guinea | Plate heat exchangers for a closed-water system |
| March | PetroChina Changqing Oilfield project | Plate heat exchangers |
| March | AMUFERT fertilizer project, Soyo, Angola | Plate heat exchangers |
| April | CNOOC natural-gas platform CO₂-removal project | PCHE equipment for wet-gas compressor aftercooling |
| April | PetroChina natural-gas cryogenic-efficiency improvement project | HT-Bloc lean/rich liquid heat exchangers |
| April | Wanhua Chemical iron phosphate cathode-material project | Plate heat exchangers for multiple water-treatment duties |
This list records the contract awards in SHPHE's announcement. It does not assign commissioning dates, delivery quantities or operating savings that were not part of that announcement.
A wet-gas compressor aftercooler needs a clear definition of gas composition, condensate behavior, pressure and upstream separation. A compact printed circuit heat exchanger (PCHE) proposal must also address the cleanliness requirements of its selected channels.
For lean/rich liquid exchange, a HT-Bloc welded plate heat exchanger can be evaluated against the solution chemistry, heat-recovery requirement, pressure drop and maintenance arrangement. The term “cryogenic project” does not mean every exchanger in that project operates at the lowest plant temperature.
Closed-water utilities in an alumina plant differ from solids-rich precipitation slurry. A gasketed plate heat exchangers may be considered for the compatible liquid utility, whereas a wide-gap welded plate heat exchanger is evaluated for the defined solids-bearing duty. Keeping the two positions separate avoids inappropriate assumptions about materials or passages.
Define the equipment tag, fluid pair, operating cases and mechanical conditions before comparing proposals. For international projects, align the code, inspection plan, document requirements and interfaces with the customer's procurement schedule.
The next step after a general project discussion is therefore a duty-specific data package. SHPHE can use that package to assess product suitability and identify which information must be resolved before thermal guarantees or fabrication commitments are agreed.
